Apple cinnamon oatmeal

It's power hour with this delicious cinnamon oatmeal bowl! Most people think oatmeal is a boring, tasteless, and simply a lazy breakfast (this is actually based on a survey I did at some point believe it or not!) - if you share the same thoughts be prepared to change your mind.

Apple cinnamon oatmeal

Making a great oatmeal bowl takes some patience, but is super easy. For 2 servings, you simply need 3/4 cup of rolled organic oats and 1 cup of either water, or your choice of milk. I personally prefer my oats cooked in water because it feels much lighter on the stomach. I sometimes add 3/4 cup of water, and 1/4 cup of almond milk if I feel like having a creamier porridge. For this bowl, I added 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon. You can also add 1 scoop of vanilla protein (instead of the vanilla extract) if you want a more protein-packed bowl of oats. Easy as (apple) pie! Stir on low heat continuously until you reach desired thickness - I prefer it to be a little more liquid and less thick - more fun to eat that way!


The delicious bowl is topped with walnuts, green apple, toasted almond slices and date slices. A combination that goes superbly well together!
