Choco-nana smoothie

Waking up to a chocolate smoothie sounds heavenly - and it gets even better when you can have it the healthy way and skip the excess sugars and calories!

Vegan chocolate smoothie

This smoothie is super easy and basic, all you need to blend is:

- 1 frozen banana (previously peeled, chopped and stored in an airtight container in the freezer)

- 1 tsp cacao nibs or organic cocoa powder

- 1/2 cup oats

- 1/2 cup almond milk

- Optional: add 1 tsp organic peanut butter, also optional, add 1 scoop of choice of protein

For the chocolate swirls on the jar, simply heat up your favorite dark chocolate (my favorite is Lindt 85% dark chocolate) with 1/2 tsp coconut oil. Once melted, use a teaspoon and drip along the sides of your mason jar. You'll find that using coconut oil to melt your chocolate will allow it to quickly freeze back as soon as you pour your smoothie into the jar!

Now you can have your healthy chocolate smoothie and drink it too ;)!
