Secret garden fudge donuts

Chocolatey - fudgey - Crisp from the outside - melt in your mouth on the inside - a hug in the tummy is what these chocolate fudge donuts are! These babies are healthy - oven-baked - oil and sugar free and you would never guess the secret ingredients include spinach, avocado and bananas too! It's the perfect way to sneak some green in your meals (or even your kids' meals too!)

Note: the recipe below can work in any tin, including muffins or mini cupcakes or even a square brownie tin.

To make approximately 12 donuts, you will need:

Dry ingredients:

- 2 cups whole-wheat organic flour

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Wet ingredients:

- 2 eggs

- 1/2 cup maple agave syrup (you can use honey too)

- 1 tbsp vanilla extract

- 2 cups spinach

- 1 ripe avocado

- 1 ripe banana

- 1/2 cup non-fat greek yogurt

- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips


* Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees C *

1- In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients together.

2- Add all wet ingredients in your blender or nutri-bullet and blend until perfectly smooth and combined.

3- Add wet to dry ingredients, mix using a spatula until perfectly combined then fold in the chocolate chips and mix.

4- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees C.

5- Once baked, carefully take the tray out of the oven and let the donuts cool down for about 10 minutes before serving.

Bite into those goodies and enjoy every. second. of. it because these donuts will disappear faster than you can say avocado!
