Banana chocolate chip pancakes

There are days when you wake up with a huge craving for chocolate - hey - don't feel bad about it! It happens - the good news is, you can now have your chocolate in the morning and eat it too with this delicious, simple, and -most importantly- healthy chocolate chip and banana pancakes recipe!

To make these yummy pancakes bursting with chocolatey deliciousness with every bite,


You will need (for 10-12 pancakes)


- 2 cups organic rolled oats

- 1 cup almond milk (you can also use any choice of milk - though I find almond milk to have the best texture)

- 1 ripe banana

- 2-3 tbsp of dark chocolate chips


Simply blend the oats, almond milk, and banana in a blender, then fold in the chocolate chips and use a spoon to mix them in.


Note: the longer you leave the batter, the thicker it gets. So you must work quickly with this recipe, and keep the almond milk handy in case you need to add more in to thin the batter every now and then.


Bake each pancake on a pan, using a brush to spread a little bit of oil to avoid sticking. Flip the pancake once the edges start to turn a darker shade and once the bubbles start to appear (about 2-3 mins on low heat on each side).


That's all! You will get your yummy stack of 10-12 pancakes which you can top off with berries or more bananas if you wish. Avoid adding any maple syrup or chocolate sauce, the chocolate chips create enough magic!
