Watermelon lime & basil smoothie bowl

This watermelon smoothie bowl is all about refreshment! One of the benefits of living in sunny & warm Dubai is that you get to have an all-year-round excuse to enjoy cold and refreshing smoothie bowls for breakfast!


This one is extra special, and not only because it saves you the trouble of having to wash your bowl after (yes I do hate doing the dishes - who likes to do them anyway?) - but also because of it's super refreshing taste that will wake you up better than your daily cup of coffee!

Watermelon lime smoothie bowl

To make this super easy bowl, you'll need a small sized watermelon. If you can find baby watermelons, that's even better! Chop your watermelon in half (if it's slightly bigger than a baby watermelon, chop a quarter at the end of it so you end up with a regular-sized bowl).


Simply blend 2-4 slices of watermelon (remove the seeds), with 4-5 medium sized strawberries, 1/2 lime, 4-5 leaves of basil, 1/2 cup oats, 1/4 cup almond milk, and ice. I chose to add 1 tsp of pumpkin seed protein (hence the pale color). Top off your smoothie bowl with blueberries, pumpkin seeds, sliced almonds, strawberry slices, and hazelnut halves.


Boom! Enjoy!
